Refund policy

ONLINE PURCHASES 

We offer FREE returns in South Africa within 7 days of receiving your item. You may request this via email info@researchunit.co.za and we will arrange a courier to have it collected. Please note that we do not exchange , credit or refund an international order.

To be eligible for an exchange, refund or credit, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

Please note that we do not return or exchange items bought on Sale. Exchanges or Credit notes cannot be redeemed for Leather goods or collaboration pieces. 

IN STORE PURCHASES

Please note that we do not offer refunds in store, for the simple reason that our pieces can be tried on and you have the luxury of physically experiencing each piece.

We have a 7-day exchange policy in store, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request an exchange or store credit.

To start an exchange, you can contact us at info@researchunit.co.za. If your exchange is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting an exchange will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returns, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns, exchanges or store credits on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We do not offer refunds for in store purchases, however please refer to our online Store Purchase FREE returns policy.  We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your exchange, and let you know if it was approved or not.Â
